Please join us for the first Decolonise Sociology meeting of term on Friday 1 November, 2-3 pm, in the Sociology Seminar Room.
We would like to invite all interested members of our community, undergraduates, postgraduates, postdocs, lecturers and researchers to join the Decolonise Sociology working group. It is an important space to create community and push our sociological imagination and craft.
In this first session, we will hold a space for those interested in decolonisation and decolonial approaches to meet each other and discuss what we can do from where we are (as sociologists/in the sociology department). This will include a brief presentation of the recent history of the decolonising sociology group in Cambridge, particularly to provide context for newcomers.
We will finish this meeting at 3pm to livestream the Campus Voices for Palestine event from UCL, and then at 5.30pm there is the event from Gaza Sky Geeks on the Palestinian Digital Economy, also in the Seminar Room.
Don’t miss an event! Keep up to date by following this blog (see the website footer) and joining our mailing list.
